Scott S.H. Huang, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Scott S.H. Huang joined the ORTHODONTIX LTD team in July 2006.

Dr. Huang grew up in Taipei, Taiwan and was Valedictorian of his high school graduating class. He earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Kaohsiung Medical University and was among the top five in his class. During his internship at Taichung Veteran Medical Center, Dr. Huang was named Best Intern of the Year.

Following dental school, Dr. Huang practiced general dentistry in Taipei before he attended one of the top-ranked orthodontic programs in the world at the University of Michigan. There he earned his Master of Science and finished his specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

One of his treatment cases at Michigan was selected to be presented at the annual meeting of the American Association of Orthodontics in 2006. Along with his specialty training, Dr. Huang devoted himself to research of one of the most common birth defects - cleft lip and palate. He has presented his research at several national and international conferences.

Dr. Huang is currently licensed in Texas and Illinois. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation, the American Association of Dental Research, the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists, and is American Board of Orthodontics-eligible.

In his spare time, Dr. Huang enjoys fishing, camping, and hiking. When he first visited Corpus Christi, he fell in love with the beach and the casual lifestyle and decided that this was where his future lay.
